February listings

February 8, 2008

Heyup,

It has been a while, but here are some film-related things
happening around Birmingham over the next few weeks.
Firstly:

7INCH NEWS
This month we return to Kings Heath for a series of Sunday
filmnights throughout the spring, kicking off with:

Sunday 24 Feb, 7pm at the Hare and Hounds
7INCH no.29
Super 8 special including filmficciones selection and the
folks from straight8, who will be presenting a greatest
hits selection and talking about how you can get involved
in this year’s scheme. Plus shorts, music, and what have
you. £4 on the door.

The 7inch site also has info on other forthcoming dates,
including a screening of I For India and a visit in March
by underground film don Mr Jack Stevenson. And a big thank
you to all who submitted to our DIY Flipbook Challenge.
We’ve extended the deadline, so if you want to see your
flipbook film on the big screen then grab a notepad or
postits and get your animation to the address at the bottom
of this email by Tuesday 19 Feb. All the results will be shown
at the super8 special.

[  By the way, if you are an 8mm fan the submissions
deadline for Cambridge Super 8 Fest is next week:
